Program Highlights

Preparing For Creative Thinking

Soak in the beauty and wildlife of Rwanda at our eco-lodge in Akagera National Park where we’ll prepare our minds for creative observation and deep insights. We'll engage with local  environmental experts and artists to consider the links between nature, resources, and feminism.

There will be daily options for wellness, meditative, and creative activities throughout the journey (such as yoga, spa days, journaling, and mindfulness exercises).

Excursions & Explorations

We'll take excursions to inspiring rural projects that are bringing innovation to women at the "last mile." Visits may include Women for Women International's Women's Opportunity Center. See how women farmers are becoming the queens of coffee and related industries (like mushroom-growing, banana beer, and more!) We'll visit thriving cooperatives where women train one another to create clothing, bags, and accessories—cultivating skills for financial empowerment. We will witness village life as well as cutting-edge technologies that are forming the ecosystem of Rwanda.

Leadership Meetings, Workshops, and  Training Exchanges,

In and around the capital city of Kigali, we'll meet key leaders in women's empowerment and social innovation. We'll offer formal and informal Interactive workshops to exchange skills and expertise with Rwandan leaders. We'll take part in speaking engagements as well as collaborative activities, including: dinner with Rwanda Chamber of Women Entrepreneurs; meeting with Rwandan parliament members  and heads of gender policies; and learning about programs for engaging men to support equality at Rwanda Men's Resource Center.
